...Costco $COST-1.8% reported third-quarter results that missed Wall Street estimates and sent the stock down slightly in premarket trading.
Costco reported fiscal Q3 results of $2.93 per diluted share on revenue of $53.60 billion. Estimates were for $3.32 and sales of $54.61 billion. Cost of goods and administrative and selling expenses increased 1% year-over-year, which had a...

At its annual Microsoft Build developer conference in Seattle on Tuesday, the company announced a series of AI updates to make both Bing and ChatGPT smarter, more intuitive, and potentially ubiquitous. Here are all the AI updates Microsoft announced at its developer conference:
I just keep reading about how they're working on Bing and people are starting to use it. I guess I'll have to take a bite and try it out. I'm tired of just hearing about it😁
I don't keep the $PLTR-0.7% palantir, but I do check it now and then. Today, we may see a significant jump based on reports that the company will be cutting dozens of jobs. In other news, C&A and Palantir are developing an artificial intelligence model to optimize the product sourcing and replenishment process.
I don't own $PLTR-0.7% stock and I don't know what business they're in. The upside has been huge the last month and after earnings it absolutely shot up. Somehow I've been missing every train lately ;)
Is Meta $META+0.1% on sale? 😄
Admittedly a minor drop, but it comes after an interesting report. Meta has been fined a record $1.3 billion by the European Union for sending user data to the US. The fine comes after regulators said Meta failed to protect personal information from US security services.
I'd like to buy the Meta already, but unfortunately it's still not at that price. And this information hasn't moved the stock price much either.
It may be the weekend, but I missed another interesting $NIO+12.8% collaboration on Friday.
Nio has partnered with Autoliv and they will be working together on safety technologies for future electric vehicles.
Nio $NIO+12.8% goes to the fusion!
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Nio has invested in Neo Fusion, a company developing fusion technology.
Neo Fusion is to research and develop technologies aimed at bringing controlled fusion to commercial use worldwide within two decades.
Thanks for the report, I don't have shares, but it's certainly interesting and I sincerely hope the plan works out.
Along with its quarterly results, Alibaba $BABA+2.2% told us the news that it has approved the spin-off of its cloud unit. Alibaba on Thursday approved the full spin-off of Cloud Intelligence Group, aiming to complete the spin-off in the next 12 months.
I wasn't expecting that. I had high expectations for $BABA+2.2%, although I didn't invest in it. So I'm glad I didn't miss out.
Minor update on UBS and Credit Suisse 👇
Do you think the $CS+1.0% lenders are reliable and won't just bring UBS problems?
I really can't complain this year, the numbers are finally coming in on the stock's performance and $NU+0.3% is adding another +6.7% in the premarket after releasing quarterly results.
Nubank added 5.31 million customers in the first quarter ending March 4, bringing the global total to 79.1 million, a 33% increase over last year.
The bank's gross profit rose 124% to $650.9...

Another +3.6% for $NU+0.3% 🤑 It's a decent bounce this year and I finally see growth at this position. So I'm still hoping to be happy after today's earnings 😅
Expectations are positive: the estimate for revenue is set at $1.51 billion, suggesting 4% quarterly growth, while earnings per share are expected to meet estimates exactly.
What do you think of Robin Hood's $HOOD+6.5% move?
Brokerage firm Robinhood is joining the trend of continuous trading in stocks. With the launch, Robinhood will become the first major broker in the U.S. to enable 24/5 stock trading.
Would any of you welcome such an option at your broker? 🤔
It's hard to say and it would probably be a matter of habit. However, it would probably stress me out quite a bit while I was sleeping and I wouldn't be able to keep track of what was going on, so I'm happy with it that way.
What stocks did you buy this week? 😎
I couldn't resist buying a few shares of 3M $MMM-1.5% today, which are now under $100. Granted they recently announced they will lay off up to 6000 people, but that's understandable given the weaker demand.
I've been buying more $CSCO+0.3%, because it will have results and they are expected to be good again and overall I like the stock so far... Otherwise, I was considering buying into Disney's I finally figured I'd wait... :) i'm looking at 3M, but i have bought for now and am keeping a little cash just in case... :D I'm also looking at $JNJ+0.0% has strong support underneath it right now at $150-157, so buying isn't out of the question either... :)
Will PacWest $PACW-2.7% (-80% YTD) be the next bank to fail soon?
The announcement that the bank's deposits are plummeting is behind today's another sharp decline. However, PacWest is trying to reassure the public that it is looking for ways to improve liquidity.
As a result, the bank still said it has $15 billion in immediate liquidity, well above its $5.2 billion in total...

The numbers aren't that bad, I'd be more worried about a run on the bank and people starting to withdraw their money.
It's here! Last week, CNN reported that "ChatGPT can pick stocks better than a fund manager. So we may soon see how AI performs in the markets.
Would you trust your money to AI?
https://twitter.com/chatgpttrader/status/1655978557125058560
If the AI does better than me I might cry :) I'm not that big of a target ;) it's certainly interesting and I've read a few posts about how AI predicts events regarding the markets. I wouldn't trust the AI with money, I'd rather mess it up myself.
The price is more and more attractive. I resisted it at first, but I may jump on the NIO train too. 😁
