๐Ÿ“… What to watch in the markets in the coming week?

The week will mainly be about the Fed minutes, the labor market and consumer sentiment, along with a few interesting corporate reports that will kick off earnings season.

๐Ÿ“Š Monday โ€“ start of the week: services and PMI

S&P Global Final Services PMI and ISM Services PMI for June. They track activity in services, which is the largest part of the US economy, and provide a signal for GDP developments and the sentiment of companies and consumers.

๐Ÿ“‰ Tuesday โ€“ trade balance

The market will get the US trade deficit / balance of goods and services, which affects expectations regarding the dollar and export-oriented companies.

๐Ÿง  Wednesday โ€“ Fed minutes + ADP + PMI

Fed Chair Kevin Warsh will speak at a symposium, which is a key signal for rate expectations and the Fed's rhetoric. Other indicators: ADP Employment Report, ISM and S&P Global PMI and Construction Spending, which round out the picture of the labor market and corporate activity.

๐Ÿ’ผ Thursday โ€“ PEP reports

PepsiCo $PEP will release its Q2 2026 results before the market opens. EPS is expected around $2,21 and revenue of approximately $24 mld. The market will mainly watch consumer demand in the US and globally, eโ€‘commerce developments and seasonal impacts on sales.

โœˆ๏ธ Friday โ€“ DAL reports + jobs report

Delta Air Lines $DAL will release its Q2 2026 results before the market opens. Analysts expect EPS of $1,45 and revenue of around $17,5 mld., which will be key for sentiment in the airline and travel sector.

On the same day we will also get the Nonfarm Payrolls for June and Weekly Jobless Claims, which are the main macro figure of the week.

Since I hold shares of $PEP in my portfolio, I'll be watching the results closely, and Wednesday will be very interesting as well.

What events will you be watching in the coming week?
