That's still almost 2 billion more than the company is currently valued at. And the stock has risen significantly recently. But it makes a lot of sense to me. Uber is already a global company, and for customers it will ultimately be easier to have a choice of, say, the top 5 rather than 20 localized companies. I'd definitely be interested in the conversion from that perspective: how many people order through the app when they travel and are in a different country. In some places their "classic" favourite services aren't available, but if they're using Uber in their home country, I think their conversion will increase when travelling too. But that's just a quick thought.
