Which company in your portfolio do you think has the biggest competitive advantage?
For me, it's definitely $ASML, because it basically has a monopoly and the world couldn't function without it. I would choose $PLTR as my second firm because it has a strong position and a very good name with the US government.
BYD last month significantly cut the prices of its cars, sparking a price war in China. The company has faced criticism from regulators, which may pose a problem. Still, I think it was a great move and BYD is starting to get ahead of Tesla. If the stock continues to fall, I'll definitely buy in.
Shares of $BA plunged 8% last week due to the tragic crash of a Boeing plane in India. But they are up more than 16% since the beginning of the year, so the company seems to be doing well overall. I won't be buying this stock, but it looks like Boeing is off to a good start.
Do you have $BAstock in your portfolio? Are you investing in the sector?
There's a lot of interesting stuff, I'll join the others, it depends on what one is looking at. I've been looking at $ORCL lately, unfortunately I didn't buy it, which literally pisses me off. 🙈 Although I also have a portfolio at its peak because I guess you can't do it any other way if you're in tech, but somehow I feel like I've been too reserved this year, too.....🙈 I don't know Trump at all and I feel like the world situation changes too often and you don't know where you stand.
AMD yesterday unveiled its line of chips that could be competitive with Nvidia's new Blackwell chips. For me, this is great news and it's clear that AMD is gradually catching up with Nvidia. I've been buying$AMDstock under $100 so I'm happy so far, but I think the main upside is yet to come.
What do you guys think? Do you have $AMDstock in your portfolio?
Elon Musk said yesterday that he regrets some of his posts about Donald Trump. Shares of $TSLA fell 14% last Thursday, but have since erased the loss. So it looks like things have calmed down and the feud may be over.
What do you think? Do you think it's definitely over?
I have recently moved most of my money into individual stocks, but I have kept and still regularly invest in $CSPX.L and $CNDX.Las a stable component of my portfolio .
This firm specializes in land development, construction and transportation infrastructure. It's a plain and simple company, but its stock is up over 170% in the last year, which is a very solid performance for the construction sector. I'm holding a middle position and am currently up roughly +80%.
Yesterday, $TSLAstock erased some of its losses and things calmed down a bit. But I'm honestly afraid it will continue. Plus, Trump has more power, so Musk will have to back down sooner or later.
Broadcom reported great results yesterday. Revenues were up 20% year-on-year and other items also grew solidly. The stock has rallied recently and the current valuation is already quite high. I've had $AVGOstock in my portfolio for a few months now and I'm very happy so far.
LVMH has not been mentioned for a long time. The shares have fallen another 20% this year and the company is not doing well at all. I have an intermediate position and will hold, but I don't expect any extra performance and hope the company will recover over time.
What is your opinion on LVMH? Do you have shares of $MC.PA in your portfolio?
CrowdStrike reported very solid results in my opinion and most key metrics grew solidly and exceeded expectations. Still, the stock was down 6% in the aftermarket due to a revenue outlook for the next quarter that was slightly below estimates. I have the stock in my portfolio and think it's a great business, but I won't be overbuying.
What do you think of the results? Anyone... Read more
I had $O and $VICIin my portfolio last year and thought it was a great investment. However, towards the end of the year I sold all the REITs because they were underperforming and I wanted to move the money into more growth stocks. I think they are good dividend stocks for retirement though.
I would also pick $ASML because there are few companies like that on the market and the current valuation is still great.
