Anyone investing in private prisons ($CXW, $GEO)?
Geo Group and CoreCivic are the best known firms in this sector. Their stocks have risen several dozen percent in the last year alone. This growth has been greatly boosted by the election of Trump, and the stock is likely to continue its solid growth. I considered buying $GEObefore the election , but unfortunately I didn't end up buying them. The stock is too expensive now, so I won't be getting in.
To me, this is a very volatile stock, and I also don't like the fact that the stock is rising so much primarily just because of Trump.
Ugh, that's a very specific and interesting industry I guess I'll have to find out more about :D
I used to own shares of $GEO, but then I sold and took a profit. Trump winning really helped those stocks a lot, but it's too late to buy now.
