🧠 IBM accelerates the advent of the quantum era!
IBM $IBM is one of the most important pioneers in computing and now it has announced a project that could change the game again in the next decade. It is the development of the first practical, bug-free quantum computer, called Starling, which is scheduled to launch in 2029.

🔬 The problem with quantum computers:
Quantum computers have been around for a long time, but so far they operate with a huge error rate, so their practical use is very limited.

IBM However, they claim to have broken through a major barrier with a new type of error-correcting code - qLDPC. The result should be a quantum computing system that can be scaled up without loss of accuracy.

📍 Why quantum computing is interesting:
It will allow to solve problems that are practically unsolvable for classical computers: drug development, risk analysis, cybersecurity, chip design.

In the right hands, quantum computing power is a major strategic advantage.

According to IDC (International Data Corporation - a market research company specializing in information technology) the quantum technology market couldreach $8.6 billionby 2028 .

IBM vs. competitors:
Google (Willow), Microsoft, Amazon, or other startups such as D-Wave $QBTS and IonQ $IONQ that are actively working on their own systems.

IDC however, indicates an approach IBM as more technologically robust and practical.

📈 Shares of IBM recently surpassed an all-time high, notching up more than 66 % over the past 12 months.

While previously it was IBM perceived as a slow-moving IT veteran whose computer era crumbled under its hands, it is now increasingly being hailed as a leader in the quantum future.

What is your view on quantum technologies, and how will traditional hardware manufacturers react to the arrival of new technologies?

I think it's a cool thing, but it's probably going to be a long time before it's any good.

Quantum technology is great and I think it has a lot of potential. I got $GOOG from this sector because I think I'm the best at it.

The company is growing nicely, but the price is too high and I would only buy after some downside.
