☁️ Skyrocketing growth in the cloud segment:
CEO Safra Catz confirmed that Oracle' s cloud infrastructure will grow by more than 70 %outpacing this year's estimated growth of 50 %.
All of this is accompanied by a massive investment in infrastructure, capital spending in 2025 will exceed 21 billion USD and in the year 2026 to reach above 25 billion.
According to Larry Ellison, co-founder of the company, the reason for the growth is simple: demand is "almost insatiable.". Oracle has reportedly received an order for all available cloud capacity from an unnamed customer.
🤝 Strategic partnerships and expansion into AI:
Oracle is no longer just focusing on databases and ERP systems. It is building partnerships with key players in healthcare (Cleveland Clinic, G42), is working with IBM, and is also a key infrastructure partner in the Stargate project , an AI cloud architecture being developed by OpenAI.
Interestingly, there is also a technology connection with a startup Amperewhich is designing its own chips with support Oracle, this startup was recently acquired by SoftBank for 6.5 billion USD.
🌍 Foreign expansion:
Founder Larry Ellison also announced that Chinese e-commerce giant Temu has begun moving its cloud infrastructure to Oracle specifically . An important demonstration that Oracle is not just a US player, but has global ambitions.
What is your opinion of Oracle?
For now, I only have $MSFT and $AMZN in my portfolio, which is probably enough and I don't need to add another such stock to my portfolio.
It's a great company, but after that kind of growth, I'm definitely not buying now.
