Does anyone have telecom stocks in their portfolio? If so, why?

I'm familiar with stocks like $VZ, $T, and $TMUS, but I don't think they are very interesting investments. The main growth has already passed these companies and apart from a decent dividend I find them uninteresting and often loss making.
