Volkswagen is launching its most aggressive offensive yet in electromobility - by 2027 it will launch nine new models, including the ID.Polo for less than 25,000 euros and the "people's" ID.Every1 with a price tag of around 20,000. The goal is clear: to dominate the European market and become the "Tesla of the mass market". But Chinese manufacturers like BYD are already planning their own production directly in the EU, and competition from Renault and Stellantis is not sleeping.
