Introducing the FPI Market Index.
For decades, investors have had Shiller CAPE, the Buffett Indicator, and P/E ratios to measure market valuation. Each tells part of the story. None combines them. We built something different.
The FPI Market Index tracks the median downside or upside across 300 major stocks using our blended model: DCF analysis (50%), relative valuation (30%), and analyst consensus (20%). One number. Updated daily. A clear signal of where the market stands versus its fair value.
Today's reading: 7.9% median downside — the market is slightly overvalued.
You can also see sector-level breakdowns: which sectors are most overvalued, which are closest to fair value, and how the index has trended over time.
