I agree, as writes, for me $BABA is uninvestable because of geopolitics, but I agree with $QCOM. It's a quality company and the business model is running nicely. I'm a huge fan of cars, I love them and I grew up in a family of car mechanics. So when I later started investing and set out on the path of an investment analyst, the first stock I wanted to reach for was $P911.DE, but in the end I didn't do it (luckily, although that ticker symbol still tempts me like hell even today :D), but I'd also be interested to know whether you hold any carmakers? And definitely let me know once you buy some.

First of all, thank you for the comment, $BABA appeals to me precisely because of the diversification outside the US as well. Overall, my thinking is that when using AI for say 60-70% of the more standard/routine tasks, you won't need the more advanced models, and that's where it makes sense to use the "cheaper" model computation. As for $MBG.DE I tried to lay out my view in more detail in the comment below; unfortunately I can't share things from work here. Compared to $P911.DE it's still a more complex manufacturing operation. Mercedes also has strong sales of models like the V-Class, in my opinion currently the best larger multi-passenger car for longer trips, and the Sprinter is a great van for couriers. Overall, everyone can find their category, and at current parts prices I no longer see a big difference between European brands

Hi, $BABA is an interesting, high-quality company, but unfortunately for me it's uninvestable because of geopolitics. If the company were from the EU or the US, I would have been holding its shares for several years already.

$QCOM is also great. It no longer fits into my portfolio, I already hold other but similar names there. The business is growing and the company has its order book, so I wouldn't be worried about the long-term potential there.

With the automakers it's unfortunately more complicated. But you have an "insider" view. At least a bit more than other investors. Do you have the shares in your portfolio or are you still just eyeing them?

$MBG.DE I held for one year and ended with a small profit and an almost 9% dividend payout. Later, after writing this article, I discussed it further with AI, and at current prices this stock makes a lot of sense to me. As you write, thanks to my job I have an "insider" view, but I can't really go into that here. Mercedes apparently has a major product offensive underway right now, during which it will bring a lot of new products to market, and as is customary at MB, they will try to push technological progress in their cars. I also like that in autonomous driving it has a big "moat" thanks to its cooperation with NVIDIA and UBER. The biggest scare are the margins on sales in Asia, where, due to Chinese competition and tariffs, sales are falling by tens of percent. In the latest quarterly results this was offset by a solid increase in the American market, but going forward it will probably only get worse. Mercedes is also introducing monthly subscription fees for features that their cars offer, which only activate in their cars once paid for - probably good news for an investor, not so much for the ordinary user. I already own my second car of this brand, and if in the future, in the next generation, I had to pay a monthly/yearly subscription for things I configured and paid for in my car, I would definitely think about switching. Users and fans of this brand probably won't be thrilled

I definitely want to increase no babe (and also no misery) these days, and qcom has been appealing to me for a while; it can certainly surprise in the future, personally I want to follow the development of edge computing (in robotics, etc.).
