🚀 Another major signal that the AI infrastructure race is accelerating.

Oracle and AWS have announced an expanded long-term partnership designed to make it easier for enterprises to bring AI-powered databases and mission-critical workloads to the cloud.

Key highlights:

✅ Oracle AI Database@AWS is now available across 22 AWS Regions spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

✅ Oracle Exadata Database Service on Oracle Database@AWS is now generally available, allowing customers to scale compute and storage independently without managing dedicated infrastructure.

✅ Oracle Autonomous AI Database Serverless is now generally available, offering fully managed databases with no infrastructure provisioning required.

✅ Performance enhancements include:

🔹Application-to-database latency as low as 165 microseconds

🔹Integration with AWS High Performance Networking

🔹Zero-ETL integration with Amazon Redshift

What's particularly interesting is the growing list of real-world adopters: 🔹 CJ Olive Young (1,380+ stores) is migrating core workloads to the cloud. 🔹 Kobalt Music Group is running its royalty collection platform on Oracle infrastructure within AWS. 🔹 Barcelona's Metropolitan Transport Authority is leveraging the platform for mobility operations handling over 1.2 million annual ticket validations.

The bigger picture? 👇

This announcement highlights a broader trend in enterprise technology: customers increasingly want the innovation of multiple cloud ecosystems without being forced into a single-vendor strategy.

Rather than competing exclusively, hyperscalers and enterprise software providers are creating tighter integrations to simplify AI deployment, data management, and large-scale modernization projects.

For Oracle, it strengthens its position in enterprise databases and AI infrastructure. For AWS, it expands the range of mission-critical workloads customers can run natively in its ecosystem.

The winners may ultimately be enterprises that gain more flexibility, lower migration complexity, and faster paths to deploying AI applications at scale.
