Nvidia $NVDA is up nearly 4% today, and this time it's not just because. There's a nice mix of news behind it that increasingly fits together and paints a great picture.

First, Bloomberg reported that Nvidia is in talks to buy Hugging Face for $14 billion. If Nvidia takes control of this, it won't just be about chips, but also about where AI development actually happens.

Then Dell $DELL came out with its second-quarter results, and honestly, they're really good. Revenue rose 58% to $47 billion, driven mainly by demand for AI servers. And they raised their full-year outlook to $192 billion.

And thirdly, an analyst at Baird reiterated that Nvidia is their favorite, mainly because of the lead it holds even in inference = the moment when a model actually responds to a user.

The market is green overall today, but Nvidia clearly leads.

Great results, but if I owned their stock, I'd sleep badly knowing that not only do they invest in many deeply loss-making companies, they also guarantee their debts. I don't mean the 2-3 billion investments into startups, but those in the tens of billions. As long as OpenAI and Anthropic pay their bills, everything is fine, but if those two get into financial distress (and both are also deeply loss-making), it'll be a domino.

So, are we going to break the current ATH?

I hope and firmly believe in it!
