Palo Alto Networks $PANW released its results yesterday, clearly showing why it belongs among the most interesting players in cybersecurity.

Quarterly revenue grew 34% year-over-year to $3.41 billion, and recurring revenue from next-generation security products grew even more strongly, jumping 63% to $9.1 billion. Moreover, the company expects revenue of around $14.1 to $14.2 billion for the new fiscal year, meaning another growth of over 20%.

Cybersecurity is one of those areas where companies simply don't have much choice these days. The more cloud, AI, and automation are used, the more the number of possible attacks grows and the need to secure everything increases.

Palo Alto is also not trying to stay only with classic security software. Along with the results, it announced the acquisition of AI platform Console, which it wants to integrate into its Cortex platform and further automate the work of security teams.

In my opinion, cybersecurity is one of those sectors where I would expect long-term growing demand.

Do any of you have Palo Alto in your portfolio? And which cybersecurity company are you watching?

Overall, cybersecurity is a very interesting sector in my opinion. Cool, for example, is CrowdStrike $CRWD, but the stock is already very expensive. At the same time, there is a risk of a fiasco like years ago.

I bought during that dip, and since then it has grown nicely.
