Microsoft $MSFT showed just how massive a bet on AI it's actually making.

By 2032, it wants to have data center capacity of around 38 GW, which is more than triple today's level. In my opinion, that's a pretty clear bet that demand for AI computing power isn't going away anytime soon.

And when you look at it next to Google $GOOG, it's quite interesting. Both companies are pouring incredible amounts of money into infrastructure, just each has a slightly different position. Microsoft has Azure, Office, GitHub, and tons of enterprise customers into whose products it can shove AI right away. Google has Search, YouTube, Cloud, Gemini, and a huge amount of its own data.

It seems to me that with Microsoft, investors are already counting on this AI story working out. With Google, there are still a bit more doubts, which is exactly why today it seems possibly more interesting from an investment standpoint.

If you had to pick just one today, would you go with Microsoft or Google?
