Next Week's Game Plan 🎯
🗓️US Macro Calendar Next Week (September 14, 2026) – Key Events for Market🗓️
➡️Monday: -
➡️Tuesday: ADP Employment Change Weekly.
➡️Wednesday: Retail Sales (Aug), Fed Interest Rate Decision w/ FOMC Economic Projections.
➡️Thursday: Initial Jobless Claims, Building Permits (Aug), Housing Starts (Aug), Pending Home Sales (Aug).
➡️Friday: Industrial Production (Aug).
🔹Monday: -
🔹Tuesday: ADP is the early private-payroll read. A firm print supports the idea that the labor market is still tight going into the FOMC; a soft one gives the committee more cover to stay on hold.
🔹Wednesday: Retail sales show whether the consumer is still spending after August. Then the main event: the rate decision plus the SEP / projections. Markets will line Tuesday’s hiring signal up against the sales number and listen for any shift in the statement, the dots, and the press conference. A hold with a hawkish SEP is a different tape than a hike, or a hold with a dovish presser.
🔹Thursday: Jobless claims are the freshest labor check after ADP. Starts, permits, and pending home sales measure housing demand under current mortgage rates — the channel that usually breaks first when policy stays restrictive.
🔹Friday: Industrial production is the factory / capacity close to the week. It rarely overrides the FOMC, but a sharp miss or beat can tweak growth expectations after the dots are out.
