The main event of the week will be Thursday's summit between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping in Washington.
The summit, which will be Xi Jinping's first visit to the White House in 10 years, is expected to revolve around trade, artificial intelligence and critical raw materials. However, no major decision/agreement is expected.
For the tech sector, any signal regarding chip export restrictions will be crucial. $NVDA CEO Jensen Huang is also expected to attend the state dinner.
On the macro data front, preliminary PMI indices will be released on Wednesday and jobless claims on Thursday.
Earnings will be reported by, among others, $AZO, $GIS, and on Thursday $COST.
Markets will continue to digest the Fed's decision, which unanimously raised rates for the first time since 2023. The central bank expects one more hike in 2026.
