Investors, which companies' results will you be watching next week?
I'm very interested in the results of $MMM, $KO, $MSFT, $GOOGL$WM, $META or maybe $AMZN. Next week will be very interesting as far as company results are concerned and I'm very interested and looking forward to the results of several companies.
This week is going to be big, there is a lot of it, but most of all I am waiting for info around $ENPH where it has already fallen quite a lot and where I am quite invested, so I wonder what the next drop will be, which I rather expect, but hopefully not so big.
Investors, how do you view Waste Management and at what price would you buy $WM stock?
For me, this company is great and the stock is very stable and growing over the long term. The current price is not too bad, however I will be buying when the price drops below $150.
WM would like to be below PE 20 (max PEG 1.5), I seriously do not know why I should pay for them as a technology company when they have a net margin of 11.5% and profits are growing up to 10%. For similar money I can buy a technology monopoly ASML, GOOGL or TSMC, which has a net margin somewhere else. The last 10 years beat SPY, but how it will be the next decade I have no idea (performance since 2000 is almost the same). The fact that waste disposal will always be needed is nice, but you never know what kind of environment they will operate in and if they will even exist in 10-20 years.
This company specializes in waste collection, treatment, disposal and recycling and is one of the largest waste management companies in the US.
Overall, I see potential with this company as people will produce trash all the time and I like that this company focuses quite a bit on recycling as well.
I'm starting to like this company a lot too. I registered it when it was somewhere around about $150, but my attention was pulled elsewhere at the time, big shame. I think about what you write and the truth is that unfortunately man produces an infinite amount of waste and so the byznis it will always be big and the more greedy man is to be a consumer, the more waste he leaves behind. Plus the fact that they recycle and then turn it into energy, so with the development of technology to make it as green as possible I see a future in that too, making energy from waste. As you say though, a lower price would be a hell of a lot better, it's pretty near the top now.
