While the results fell short of expectations, they still turned out great and the company should do well this year. Google is one of the best companies in my opinion and has a strong position in AI. I've owned the stock for quite a while, it's one of the largest positions in my portfolio, and I overbought after today's drop.
Even though an 8% drop on a company like Google is really significant, I didn't buy. Google is my biggest position and I got a better price. Now we are "only" back a few weeks.
The results for me are great - $SPOTstock is up 10% today and a strong quarter is expected. I actively use Spotify, more or less daily, but I don't have their stock in my portfolio and wouldn't buy it at the current price.
Today, $TSLAstock is down 6%. The stock has been cheaper lately and the price doesn't look so bad anymore. I think the stock is still expensive, but I'd be interested in @ondar007' s opinion on the current price.
Are you buying $TSLA stock or do you think it is still expensive?
I've had $Vstock on my watchlist for a long time , but the price has never seemed good enough to buy. The stock is up 8% just since the beginning of the year. I think Visa is a great company with a great business, but its stock is definitely not cheap.
What do you think of the current share price of $CAT?
The company reported results on Thursday that weren't bad, but the stock subsequently fell 5%. I was buying the stock at the end of 2023, and it has risen solidly since then, but the current price isn't bad, so I'm thinking of overbought.
Do you also have shares of Czech banks in your portfolio?
Overall, Czech banks did well last year, with $MONET.PR up 30% and $ERBAG.PR up more than 60%. I bought $KOMB.PR and $ERBAG.PR last year for diversification and so far I am very satisfied.
In the end, ASML's results turned out great - sales and net profit exceeded expectations and overall it is clear that the company really did well. Shares of $ASML are up 11% today, which makes me personally quite happy as ASML is one of my largest positions.
AT&T reported very positive results yesterday, which subsequently pushed the stock up 6%. For example, the company's net income rose 70% year-over-year. Shares of $T have been rising over the past few months, but it's still an uninteresting stock to me and I won't be investing in it.
What do you think about the current DeepSeek sale? What stocks do you plan to buy after the market opens?
Shares of U.S. technology companies have fallen sharply following news of Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek's breakthrough. In the pre-market so far, $NVDA, $MSFT and $METAhave fallen significantly , and $ASML shares have lost over 10% after the opening bell... Read more
We have a lot to look forward to this week as the biggest and most watched companies will be reporting results. I will be interested in the results of $SOFI, $TSLA, $META, $ASML and $AAPL.
Which companies' results will you be interested in?
What do you think about the decline in $AAPLstock this year ? Are you buying or selling?
Shares of $AAPL are down more than 10% in the past month. The main reason for the decline was investors' reaction to news of a significant drop in iPhone sales in China. It seems to me that Apple has the least potential out of the "Magnificent 7", so I'll just hold the stock for now.
I'm very curious how the DOJ's Google lawsuit will turn out, if they block those Apple payments for the search page they will lose about 20% of their net profit which they didn't have to put any effort into and I would say it will also reduce their overall margins.
Shares of American Airlines fell about 8% yesterday after earnings, mainly due to a lower outlook for this year. I wasn't that impressed with $AAL, but lately it seems like the sector is starting to recover. I find $UAL and $DAL the best so far, but their share price is not too low again.
Procter & Gamble also reported results today. The results were quite good, the company is planning $6 billion worth of buybacks this year, and overall it is clear that the company is doing well. I use their products a lot, but the stock is too defensive for me and I don't see that much potential with it.
Lately, I've been thinking about adding some construction stocks to my portfolio. So far, I've been most interested in $NVR and $0M6I.L. Both are very high quality companies, but the stock is currently quite expensive.
What construction stocks do you have in your portfolio?
I have a portfolio composed mainly of dividend and value stocks, so those positions are similarly large. Tobacco companies pay a super dividend, so $BTI and $MO. But I've had $KO stock for a few years and that pays a nice dividend too.
Even though an 8% drop on a company like Google is really significant, I didn't buy. Google is my biggest position and I got a better price. Now we are "only" back a few weeks.
