Hey investors, have a great Sunday.
Since the earnings season for the first quarter of this year is almost over, I would like to ask you how you rate the earnings season and what results surprised you the most, either pleasantly or unpleasantly.
I perceive the results season positively, as I expected much worse. Obviously, some companies had worse results and did not exceed expectations, but from what I watched and observed, I would say that a large number of companies had positive results and exceeded expectations.
As far as specific companies are concerned, I was really pleasantly surprised by the results of $NVDA, $META, $PLTR, or even the classic results of $KO. Otherwise, I don't remember any worse results that surprised me a lot or that I didn't like.
Alternatively, if I've forgotten any important and surprising results, I'd be happy to add them.
Personally, from the whole jerk I'm surprised there just isn't a recession yet, which su's always talked about. The tech companies, the hype around AI is just holding it together, that's all and if it wasn't for that we wouldn't be where we are in the indices at all. So I still expect a decline, not now if the Fed doesn't hike, but as just big tech runs out of drive, we should go down, but I don't think drastically.
I was surprised, the question of what's next with this market behavior...
I think the results kind of surprised the whole market, including me. I didn't expect it to be this good. Many companies surprised significantly and are pulling an ongoing rally. It's just a question of whether interest rates have already baked into these results or if we'll have to wait and see. That's where it will get interesting then.
