Drugmaker Pfizer $PFEits North Carolina plant, one of the largest sterile injectable manufacturing facilities in the world, suffered severe damage from a tornado... Hopefully this will only be a short-term problem, as this plant produces nearly 30% of the company's sterile injectables.

The stock hasn't reacted to the news yet, so we don't have a chance to buy.

BC

Interesting I didn't even know about that. I have been looking at this company and plan to buy its stock next week.

JB

Minor update: About 50,000 drugs were destroyed there + a look at the current state of the factory👇

The condition of the factory is really terrible.

Thanks for the update.

BG

It's not going to be a major restriction, they're just pieces of sheet metal, it'll get fixed ;)

JB

Well sure, but it's more about limiting the work in those pieces of metal = lower production.

DM

$PFE can definitely be bought at current prices. 😊😊

JB

I have nothing against the current price either, I keep them myself 🤝

MP

I don't think that would be restrictive for a company that big.

JB

Probably not, more likely if it went on some sort of shutdown it would affect performance in the short term. The affected complex is quite large and the production from there is quite substantial.

NG

I've seen pictures from there, about a quarter of the building or the complex was damaged. That shouldn't shut down or jeopardize operations.

JB

Yeah, I've seen them too. I hope it's not too bad.
