I came across a post on Xk about the possible entry of Škoda auto a. s. on the Prague Stock Exchange. Do you think it would make sense and would be an interesting opportunity for investors? Among the pros of this move, it was mentioned that people could participate in the ownership of domestic companies and also that, for example, pension funds would get the opportunity to invest in Czech dividend titles.

Personally, I don't think the likelihood of Skoda going public is very high, as it is a subsidiary of $VWA.BR+0.4% and thus would be a complicated process from a legal and financial point of view. It is also a fact that concerns usually do not do this.

Skoda Auto achieved significant profit growth in 2023. Its sales rose 26.2% to €26.54 billion and operating profit increased to €1.77 billion, an increase of 182.3% on the previous year. The return on sales was 6.7% (7.5% excluding Russia). These results were boosted by a wide range of models including electric cars and the modernisation of the popular Superb and Kodiaq models.
