The construction firm that's benefiting from the datacenter boom
Not every construction company can boast that its name is associated with the development of the digital economy. But this company, based in The Woodlands, Texas, has done something not often seen in the traditionally conservative sector over the past few years - it has moved from building roads and sewers to building infrastructure for data centers, logistics centers and industrial complexes. And it has done so successfully that its fastest-growing division now generates more than half of all contracts.

This turnaround is no accident. Since 2017, when Joe Cutillo took over the company's leadership, the business has not only renamed itself, but completely rewritten its DNA. Instead of chasing volume, it has begun to focus on higher value-added projects, which is reflected in the results - net profit has more than doubled in the past year, operating margins are growing, and e-infrastructure project revenues are up 18% year-over-year.
