Are you buying shares of energy companies or will it be a short-term shot and then a pullback? The situation with the Strait of Hormuz is quite interesting - up to 20% of all production is transported there, which is quite wow. Closures or sabotage can clearly sway oil prices, however many are calling such moves suicidal for Iran's economy.
I don't care much for these stocks and in the end they are pretty volatile stocks.
I used to want to own some stocks in this sector, but over time I became disinterested and focused on growth stocks.
Stocks are cheaper again and I'll probably be overbought again. It's not an ideal situation, but it's great in the short term.
