This week is really full of important macroeconomic events and also corporate results. Here's a list of the most interesting things I'll be watching.

📈 Tuesday
JOLTS Job Openings - Let's keep an eye on the tightness in the labor market. Fewer job openings could signal a cooling economy.

Consumer confidence in the U.S. - An important barometer of future spending by US households.

Results before the markets open:
SoFi Technologies $SOFI - A very important look at the growth of this popular fintech company.
PayPal $PYPL - Digitizing payments and fighting competition like Apple Pay.
Procter & Gamble $PG - Consumption in a time of inflation - watch margins and volumes.
UnitedHealth $UNH - What are the results of this giant that is having a rough time?
Boeing $BA - Orders and production, mainly due to supply issues.
Merck & Co. $MRK - Revenue development from key drugs and research outlook.
Spotify $SPOT - Subscriber development and content monetization efficiency.
Stellantis $STLA - Electric mobility, manufacturing and global demand for cars.
UPS $UPS - An important indicator of e-commerce and global logistics.

Results after the markets close:
Visa $V - Consumer spending and payment flows.
Starbucks $SBUX - Out-of-home consumption and expansion in foreign markets.
Electronic Arts $EA - Gaming industry outlook and subscription developments.

🏦 Wednesday
ADP Payrolls - A precursor to Friday's labor market report.
US GDP (Q2) - An indicator of whether the US economy is slowing or continuing to grow despite rates.
Fed Rate Decision + Powell Press Conference - Key event of the week. Fed chief's words could move markets in all directions.

Corporate results before the markets open:
Rolls Royce $RR.L, Rio Tinto $RIO, Altria $MO, Mercedes-Benz $MBG.DE - Results from a company that specializes in modular reactors, as well as a mining company, a well-known cigarette manufacturer and demand for European cars.

Results after the markets close:
Microsoft $MSFT - A key player in AI and cloud computing. The outlook will be more important than the numbers themselves.
Meta $META - Advertising, metaverse and development in AI.
Arm $ARM - Position in the mobile and AI segment of the chip market.
Qualcomm Arm $QCOM - Mobile technology and the impact of geopolitics on chips.

📉 Thursday
Initial jobless claims - Traditional measure of labor market strength.
PCE inflation (core) - Fed's favorite indicator.

Corporate results before the markets open:
Mastercard $MA - Consumer demand, transaction volume.
Commercial Bank $KOMB.PR - Development of loans and mortgages in the domestic environment.
CVS $CVS - The state of US retail and healthcare.
British American Tobacco $BTI - Regulation, development of smokeless product sales.

Post-close market results:
Amazon $AMZN - AWS results, retail and efficiency developments.
Apple $AAPL - iPhone revenue development and new AI/ML strategy.
Coinbase $COIN - Cryptocurrency trading and sentiment in the sector.

🧾 Friday
Employment Report (Nonfarm Payrolls) - Another very important indicator.
ISM Manufacturing PMI - Tracking the health of the manufacturing part of the economy.

Results of companies before the markets open:
Daimler Truck $DTG.DE - Transportation segment and demand for heavy vehicles.
Chevron $CVX, Exxon Mobil $XOM - Developments in the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas prices.

What events will you be watching in the coming week?


I will be watching mainly the results of $SOFI, $SPOT and $AMZN.

There's a lot of this out there, but a lot of people will probably be watching $UNH's results, so we'll see how that plays out and hopefully the stock will start to rise.
