Visa | Q3 FY2025: Strong revenue and profit growth despite exceptional costs

Visa entered the third fiscal quarter of 2025 in very good shape. Despite a one-time legal provision related to antitrust litigation, the company managed to achieve double-digit growth in both revenue and adjusted earnings. Key operating metrics point to healthy consumer spending momentum, strong growth in international payments and processed transactions, underlining the resilience of the global payments network.

Additionally, importantly for investors, Visa $V continued its massive capital return program, repurchasing nearly $5 billion of its own stock during the quarter and raising cash dividends. Add to that the newly issued euro-denominated bond to provide flexibility, and it's clear that the company has plenty of resources to grow and reward shareholders at the same time.
