Shares $FI fell today by about 45% after a disappointing earnings report, which sent the stock YTD to -65%. It’s one of the largest payment institutions and the drop seems quite exaggerated to me. I’m sharing this info for anyone who might like the stock and see it as a buying opportunity. :-)
I also think the drop is exaggerated. The company had fairly strong buy recommendations before the results and price targets around $170. So we'll see how the new management handles it.
An interesting company that has been going through a tough period recently, at least from what I've just read. If anyone has been following the company long-term, don't hesitate to share your view. It doesn't look attractive right now, but with good analysis it could easily be a great opportunity.
I'm not familiar with the stock. Could I ask what makes it so exceptional that it would be worth buying?
Under normal circumstances I’d say it’s ideal to buy BUT — from what I’ve just read, that combination of "no growth", fired management and a change in outlook, in the context of everything going up right now, I’m afraid of a bigger cliff that will show up on the chart 🤔
Such a move is quite extreme. Wouldn’t $V or $MA be better and safer?
