Where will the S&P 500 be in 2050?
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in June on CNBC that buying shares of SpaceX $SPCX , OpenAI, and Anthropic at IPO will be like buying $AMZN , $GOOG , or $META in their very early days.
When you see those IPO valuations, you think that Huang has either gone crazy or (and according to statistics, this is quite possible), in 25 years we'll be looking at the S&P 500 index at around 40,000 points. And the world's most valuable companies could easily have valuations around 50 trillion dollars?
It sounds insane, but if the market continues to do what it has done over the past 100 years, it could really be the case. Then you just need to pick the winners :-)
