Generac $GNRC received a very nice contract from Amazon $AMZN.

Amazon signed a long-term agreement worth 2.4 billion dollars with the company for backup generators for its data centers. And if the cooperation continues according to plan, total purchases could eventually reach up to 8 billion dollars.

It's not just Nvidia, server makers, or semiconductor companies that are profiting from the current AI boom. All those data centers need huge amounts of electricity, cooling, backup power sources, and other surrounding infrastructure.

Generac has long been known mainly for its generators for households and businesses. But now, through data centers, a completely different market is opening up for it, and Amazon is certainly a strong enough customer for the market to take notice.

After the deal was announced, the stock jumped by more than 40% in aftermarket trading, but during regular Thursday trading it gave back part of the gains and ended the day up roughly 18%.

Does anyone follow Generac? And do you have a company around AI infrastructure that isn't directly a chip maker?
