Bank stock prices

I currently don't understand the big difference in price between Erste bank and Komerční banka. Why is Erste already at around CZK 3,000 and Komerční banka still stuck around CZK 1,000, at most around CZK 1,100? Illogical, right? When do you expect Komerčka to catch up with Erste? Thank you for your opinions. :-)

I agree that both companies are in the same market. Like , I currently like the stock $GLE.PA, which has fallen about 20% since the beginning of August. The company's P/E ratio is just under 7 and the dividend yield is almost 2.5%.

MS

I have both $KOMB.PR and $GLE.PA in my portfolio, both bought during the pandemic when banks were struggling and had suspended dividend payments. Of course, they then generously paid out dividends in the following years.

MS

Erste has a completely different market than Komerční banka; if it makes sense to compare any groups in this case, I would rather look at $EBO.DE with $GLE.PA. Komerční banka operates only on the Czech market, while Erste, as others write, is a player on the European field.

There probably won't be another bank like KB at a similar price anytime soon. For Erste, the price reflects, for example, its expansion into Poland and expected growth.

Thanks for your opinion. We'll see.

The share price is not directly comparable between companies. The fact that Erste costs around CZK 3,000 and Komerční banka around CZK 1,000 does not mean that Erste is three times more expensive or that Komerčka should "catch up" with it in terms of share price. Each bank has a different number of issued shares, a different market capitalization, and also different financial performance.

Fine. Thanks. When do you think Komerčka will be at a similar price? And will it be at all...
