NOKIA: EUROPE'S AI WINNER? π
When you hear Nokia $NOK , most investors probably think of the legendary push-button phones. But today's Nokia is a completely different company.
And in my opinion, it could become one of Europe's biggest winners of the AI revolution! π
π What does Nokia actually do today?
The Finnish company now focuses primarily on network and telecommunications infrastructure.
β AI and data centers β It supplies technologies for fast transfer of huge amounts of data between servers and data centers.
β 5G and 6G mobile networks β It develops technologies for next-generation mobile networks.
β Optical networks β It provides infrastructure enabling extremely fast data transfer.
β Patents and licenses β It owns an extensive patent portfolio that generates licensing revenue.
π€ WHO DOES NOKIA PARTNER WITH?
And this is where it gets really interesting!
π’ NVIDIA ($NVDA ) β A strategic partnership focused on connecting AI and next-generation mobile networks. NVIDIA also invested USD 1 billion in Nokia!
π’ Google ($GOOG ) β Collaboration through Google Cloud on integrating Gemini models into Nokia's network solutions and automating telecommunications infrastructure.
π’ Amazon ($AMZN) β Nokia works with AWS on cloud and autonomous networks using artificial intelligence.
π’ AMD ($AMD) β One of the technology partners of Nokia's innovation lab, which focuses on network infrastructure for AI data centers.
π’ Dell Technologies ($DELL) β Collaboration on AI mobile network infrastructure, including server solutions.
π’ T-Mobile $TMUS , Vodafone$VOD and Orange $OPL.WA β Telecom operators involved in developing, testing or deploying Nokia's network technologies.
And these are far from all the companies!
π AI BUSINESS IS GROWING 105%!
The latest quarterly results show why Nokia caught my attention so much.
π Q2 2026 results:
π Revenue from AI and cloud customers grew 105% year-over-year.
π° Orders in the AI & Cloud segment reached EUR 2.8 billion.
π Nokia's total revenue grew 9% at constant currency.
π₯ According to management, about half of AI & Cloud orders should turn into revenue within the next 12 months.
And what do I enjoy most about this?
Artificial intelligence doesn't just need chips from Nvidia. It also needs infrastructure that can transfer huge amounts of data.
And that's exactly where Nokia can play a crucial role.
DOES EUROPE FINALLY HAVE ITS AI WINNER?
While American companies dominate the development of AI chips and models, Europe lags behind in many technology areas.
But Nokia is proof that even a European company can be an important part of the global development of artificial intelligence.
Of course, there are risks. Nokia faces strong competition, telecom operators' investment cycles, and pressure on profitability. Moreover, partnerships alone don't automatically guarantee future revenue.
Personally, though, I see Nokia as one of the most interesting European candidates to win the AI revolution. π
π¬ What do you think? Can Nokia return to the top of the tech world, or has Europe definitively missed the boat?
