📉 Netflix $NFLX drops 5%! Are the results really that bad?

Netflix shares $NFLX fell by more than 5% in response to the release of its quarterly results. Yet the figures themselves certainly don’t look bad. So what disappointed investors?

📊 Key results for Q3 2026:

Revenue: USD 12.9 billion (+12% year over year)

Net income: USD 3.66 billion (+44%)

Operating margin: 34.6% versus 28.2% a year ago

Free cash flow: USD 2.9 billion

Share buybacks: USD 4.8 billion

⚠️ So what’s the problem?

Netflix lowered its forecast for this year’s advertising revenue from approximately $3 billion to $2.7 billion. Advertising was supposed to be one of the company’s main drivers of future growth.

Investors are also concerned about slowing revenue growth and a weaker outlook for the final quarter of this year.

📈 What do I see as positive?

Netflix continues to improve profitability, generate billions of dollars in free cash flow, and aggressively buy back its own shares. It’s also positive that customers are responding to subscription price increases as the company expected.

So is the current share price drop a buying opportunity, or is Netflix beginning to lose its growth potential?

🎥 I’ve prepared a detailed analysis of the results, covering not only the individual figures but also how I view the current situation as an investor.
