🚨 INTEL IS PLUNGING 25%! Are the results really that bad? 📉

Intel $INTC reported quarterly results that look very good at first glance. Nevertheless, the stock plunged by approximately 25% in after-hours trading. So what actually happened? 🤔

📊 The most important Q3 2026 figures:

✅ Revenue: USD 16.51 billion (+21% year over year)

✅ Adjusted EPS: USD 0.52 (+126% year over year)

✅ Adjusted EPS beat analysts’ expectations by approximately 30%.

✅ Gross margin rose to 44.1%.

✅ The data center and AI segment saw an incredible 78% increase in revenue, to USD 7.3 billion!

In my view, data centers are currently the biggest positive surprise. Demand for Xeon server processors is surging, and Intel is managing to benefit from it very well.

❌ So why is the stock falling so sharply?

The main problem is the weaker outlook for the next quarter.

📉 Intel expects revenue of only USD 15–16 billion, while analysts were counting on approximately USD 17.1 billion.

📉 Adjusted earnings per share are expected to reach only USD 0.25, well below market expectations (USD 0.45).

📉 The PC segment reported a 5% decline in revenue, and weaker demand could continue into 2027.

📉 The explosion at a factory in Israel is expected to cost the company approximately USD 600 million in revenue over two quarters.

📉 The Foundry manufacturing division continues to generate heavy losses. In the latest quarter alone, it reported an operating loss of approximately USD 1.85 billion.

💰 What do I think?

For me, these were very good quarterly results, but the outlook is truly terrible. And the outlook is the main reason for the current sell-off.

👇 What’s your take? Is Intel’s plunge of more than 25% an overreaction by the market, or do you think the company is facing even bigger problems?
