I don't really focus on UK stocks, but I think there are a few interesting stocks. I don't have any UK stocks yet, but I really like $BTI as I think people will keep smoking it and the stock is currently at a very nice price.
$BTI is probably the most sensible of the trio of tobacconists, although it bothers me a bit that they don't innovate and focus as much on moving towards alternatives

I personally have a bit of a portfolio in BTI and if I wanted to be sure despite the electronics you have $PM. I'm planning on them too but so far I've always been tempted by other better for me stocks in other sectors. 🙂🤷♂️
Today, I have newly added British American Tobacco $BTI to my portfolio. I'm playing my cards right now with the current valuation, a decent dividend, stability, and the replacement of the CEO with the very experienced Tadeo Marrocco.
I'm happy about that - my largest position in my portfolio is $BATS and I overbought today. I have great confidence in the future of the company, especially after the CEO change you mention. The planned buybacks and debt reduction will also do the trick.
