Do you have any stocks in your portfolio that are not too dependent on economic cycles?
In my portfolio it would definitely be $WMstocks , as garbage is always being exported. Plus, the chart shows nicely that the various crises in the past have not affected this stock much. The other stock will probably be $MO, since people are always smoking whether interest rates are low or...

It's going to be very interesting from tonight through Thursday, so I'll definitely be watching.
Shares of $BTI and $MO formed new ATH today. Both stocks are up over 25% year to date and also pay a dividend of over 7%. I had both $BTI and $MOin my portfolio until the beginning of the summer . I sold $BTI and kept $MO as I trust Altria and don't need more than $BTI and two tobacco stocks in my portfolio.
What about you? Do you prefer $BTI or $MO and why?

Thanks for the overview. There's a lot of results out there and it's going to be a busy week overall. I'm currently on vacation, but I'll at least try to follow it a bit😁
What is your current perception of the tobacco industry?
I have $MO and $BTIstocks in my portfolio , but I'm selling BTI and keeping $MO. Revenues from regular cigarettes are down and will continue to decline, but companies are moving to e-cigarettes, new products and various alternatives that are becoming more popular and starting to sell more and more.

💵 Three reliable dividend stocks with a yield above 5%!
Here is my pick of 3 interesting dividend companies from different sectors.
These companies are known for their long history of raising dividends every year and at current prices offer yields over 5 %. Although dividend increases are not expected to be huge somehow, their stability and advantages over their competitors make...

Super post👍. I have all 3 in my portfolio, but I plan to sell PFE when I see it in the green.
Do you have tobacco stocks included in your portfolio?
I have $BTI and $MOstocks in my portfolio . I keep the position the same size, but I haven't overbought in a while and don't plan to. These companies pay a very solid dividend. However, I am starting to worry about the future of this sector.
Altria is increasing its share buybackprogram from the original $1 billion to $2.4 billion. This news flash made me quite happy, as I find buybacks to be much better than dividend payments. The dividend here is very nice and $MO stock has been around that $40 mark for the past year. I was buying their stock quite a bit last year, but the sector has faced a few problems...

Moneta, KB, Vitesse Energy, Mercedes-Benz, Verizon, Société Generale, PKN Orlen ... my top two
Interesting observation, after yesterday's Altria $MO results:
Philip Morris sells more cigarettes in Indonesia than in the US (Altria).
It's one piece to the puzzle that shows how important emerging markets are in the cigarette business. In Indonesia, for example, almost 30% of the population over 15 years of age smoke.

But that's not news to me, a lot of tobacco focuses on Asia and young adults(or rather kids). If you start early,it's supposedly harder to quit. This was the reason I said no to tobacco :)
I have a portfolio composed mainly of dividend and value stocks, so those positions are similarly large. Tobacco companies pay a super dividend, so $BTI and $MO. But I've had $KO stock for a few years and that pays a nice dividend too.
