Why you invest?

Maybe a basic question, but I find that the muddy reasons are sometimes quite different :) for me, for example, to have my basic expenses covered from my "passive" and thus have more freedom over how I spend my time.

Could come in handy :) The days of having over 6% on a savings account are probably coming to an end soon, so it may come in handy for some that Trading212 for example (but also other brokers) offer a nice % interest when you have free funds with them, for example for DCA payments etc.

Trading212 currently CZK 6% and USD 5.1%.

It may be a little, but it's better than nothing :)

$KOFOL.PR announced on Friday that it has finally completed the purchase of a 51% stake in Pivovary CZ.

The shares jumped on the Prague Stock Exchange, ending the week at CZK 273, and at CZK 272 on RM-SYSTEM.

It delivered super results for the full year last year, with revenue up 2.8% to $8.2 billion and net income up 39.3% to $155.7 million. And the outlook for this year is pretty promising, too, and the price per share quite favorable.

I'm going through the patch results and I'm pretty surprised by$WBD. I expected better. How satisfied are you?

A lot of investors, including myself, hold stocks for the long term. But I've now encountered that it's quite a different time horizon for everyone. Some people hold long term for 5 years, some for 10 years and some for 30+ years.

I pomentally held my first stock the longest and now it's 11 years and I'll easily add another 20 and probably more to that.

In the last few days $GOOGL has launched a new version of the Gemini smart assistant, although not yet in EU countries. But here I can try Gemini Advanced for free for 2 months, and it should be much more powerful than Bard. After the trial period topak will cost 550 Kc/month, the same as ChatGPT.

Anyone else going to try using Gemini? And how do you think…

Catepillar's revenue grew 3% year-over-year in the final quarter of last year.

Vaccine maker $NVAX Novavax plans to reduce its total global workforce by about 12% to cut costs. Given the reported results, I understand the move, and I wonder if it will help them dig out of the red when the approval of a new covid vaccine didn't.

With the results ,$META itsintention to pay a regular dividend, with the first payout date expected to be March 26, 2024 at $0.50 per share :)
