Have a nice Sunday,

How do you see the future of $UBER and other similar companies like BOLT etc?

I own a really small bit of Uber $UBER and I still think it has a future and after the last quarterly results they had a smaller loss than expected so the share price went up a bit but so far it's not much compared to earlier prices.

I don't own one, but I still think companies of this type will replace the taxi services we all know sooner or later.

DD

So she's a tax service, just with an app :)

BC

I don't have a share and I don't plan to yet, but if it were to establish itself in the market and start to dominate the industry, I would definitely buy a little. However, I like the AI work and the business overall.

👍

The$UBER is probably not quite for me, but I have to appreciate how the stock is holding up despite the markets' woes👍.

DD

It's still holding up, hopefully the pupil will continue to hold up:)

Unfortunately, I don't see any great potential for profit there. Uber has just blazed a trail in the legislation and all the competition then opened up space for them to undercut themselves with price and expansion of services on which they continue to burn money and the only winner there will be their customer. By the time they are in the AV/robotaxi market, I can't see how this will improve their position, rather companies like Google/Waymo, Intel/Mobileye, Baidu or Sony will profit from it.

DD

Someone would have to pour a lot of money into them to innovate like that, and I don't think anyone will.

RR

Uber certainly has a lot of potential, but it could be overwhelmed by competition. I miss the moat.

UBER will make sense to me if it is one of the first with AI and "demolishes" the world with autonomous taxis or delivery.

DD

The question is whether they will have the money for such an innovation. I kind of think not.

It seems to me that it's such a fashion wave and it's spilling over quickly... Uber, Netflix... everything's cool for five years until something new comes along.

DV

that's exactly what was discussed here there are some trends and they don't last forever but I don't think uber etc is a trend as it certainly makes sense

DV

it will have a future when it will be switched to EV because people don't have the cash for it and secondly I can already see the chargers on the estate with 200 chargers :D

DD

That's true, and if you add car sharing to the mix, it won't make sense to own a car anymore :)
