On a purified basis the company reported earnings per share of 34 cents, up from 7 cents a year ago and beating the FactSet consensus of 30 cents. The company's revenue also increased to $2.1 billion from $1.7 billion.
Gross Merchandise Volume(GMV)also saw an increase. It rose 23% to $75.1 billion, beating analysts' expectations of $72.2 billion. The company highlighted this in its report as a sign of accelerating growth.
Looking ahead to 2024, Shopify $SHOP aims to maintain the momentum gained in 2023 and achieve top-line growth and profitability.
