About the company
SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies) is a U.S. aerospace company founded by Elon Musk in 2002 with the goal of making spaceflight more affordable and ultimately enabling human settlement of Mars. It develops and launches reusable rockets – including the Falcon 9, the heavy-lift Falcon Heavy, and the in-development Starship – and has become a key partner for NASA and commercial customers in carrying cargo and crew to orbit. It also operates Starlink, a satellite internet service that now covers most of the globe and forms a major part of its business.
