In an intermediate clinical trial, the highest dose of Eli Lilly's experimental orforglipron $LLY pill led to a 14.7% weight loss in obese or overweight people after 36 weeks, setting a new milestone in the race to develop effective anti-obesity pills.
On the one hand, great, but on the other hand, I'm thinking it's not so fabulous when you can achieve those percentages with exercise and diet in the same amount of time. Nevertheless, the Yanks will appreciate it and the numbers will gradually improve.
Do you think there is potential in this area? Not in healthcare directly, but in obesity pills.
I think it will be appreciated by far more people than just the Americans... imagine what results you could achieve if you ate right, exercised + supported it with similar pills? What normally takes you a year you could have in a few weeks... :)
In this day and age, it will certainly have its uses. Not only for those who need it badly, but also for those lazy people who are lazy to do something with themselves. But there is a need to keep an eye on the competition and how they are doing.
Obesity pills are bullshit. A self-indulgent but lazy American will hear it perfectly
