I haven't looked at BMWs, but thanks for the tip. I've been trying to focus on car companies lately, but I'm still unsure. So far I like Porsche and I'm interested in Mercedes as well.

With BMW better than with VW, but I still wouldn't go for it now... :) If anything, a Porsche...

I haven't even looked at BMW much, I'm more into Mercedes/Porsche. Nice dividend yield, beating expectations every quarter, just bomb. It remains to be seen how they hold up against the Chinese car companies, it's going to be quite a battle there.

I see the so often mentioned BMW and Mercedes as not very luxurious and a bit underwhelming, trying to live off past glories. VW has a problem with expensive hard to reform (strong unions) manufacturing. Stelantis, in my opinion, have taken on too much and will have to downsize + costly production just like VW. To me, I guess only Porsche comes out of this as promising. Clear leadership (Porsche Piech family trust) and premium cars may mit the future. There's also speculation about using solid state batteries in connection with VW. (This could probably revive VW a bit too but they have a really big problem with production efficiency so it's a question of how much they would benefit from even a possible success of a joint venture with $QS+2.7% ) BTW QS grew interestingly after the announcement that one of the partners will be equipped with batteries usable in a prototype car and there's speculation whether it will be Porsche or Audi. 🤞

I'd say we can count on him in the future. Strong brand, but the margins are kind of mediocre. BMW isn't bad, even valuation wise, I would think, even though it's almost at ATH. Probably won't go wrong, but I'd prefer a VW.
