Sony | FY 2025: Year-on-year profitability growth despite revenue stagnation

Sony's fiscal 2025 was marked by stable revenues and a significant improvement in profitability, despite more difficult global market conditions and sluggish sales. The company confirmed that its strategic diversification and focus on efficiency are beginning to bear fruit. While consolidated sales were down 0.5% year-on-year, net profit increased by more than 17%. Results outside the financial services segment, which will be spun off in October 2025, showed an even stronger growth profile, particularly in gaming, digital content, music, film and sensor technologies.
