So buying yesterday after a 9% drop proved to be a great option. $NIO+12.8% recovered quickly and ended up losing only one percent.
Has anyone here been buying Nio stock too? 🤔

I just expanded my position at Nio $NIO+12.8%. The results have been poor as expected, but that doesn't change the longer term vision. The number of deliveries will slowly start to stabilize, what will be more important for me is the results in the coming years, new products (cars, mobiles and infra expansion) and expansion. Possibly even possibly partnerships, there has been...

I can't really imagine a partnership with BMW, that's pretty wild :) but I still share the same feeling and look forward to the future of this company :)
So we have finally arrived!
One of the biggest problems that has weighed on $MMM-1.5% stock is finally over. 3M has finally agreed to pay $6.01 billion to settle nearly 260,000 lawsuits by current and former U.S. military service members who claim they suffered hearing loss while using the company's earplugs.
3M and plaintiffs' attorneys are nearing a settlement that would resolve hundreds of thousands of veterans' claims that earplugs made by the company and its subsidiary did not protect them from hearing loss. Under the terms being negotiated, 3M would pay about $5.5 billion.
I'm sure this is good news but then again I wouldn't expect +40% in a week :) I think this is already priced in considering how long it takes
What do you think about next week and the results, who will you be watching? I'm clear - $NIO+12.8% 😎
So $NIO+12.8% is the obvious choice, but other companies like $CRM+0.3%, $HPQ-3.9% or $CRWD+1.6% are bored there.
Did you see this news about $NIO+12.8% yesterday?
In response to the upcoming requirement that all taxis in Oslo operate as electric vehicles by November 2024, Oslo Taxi has made a significant choice. The company has decided to partner with Nio Norge as its primary EV provider, marking a significant step towards a more sustainable transport future.
As you write about the battery changes, that's why I love the Nio. It really solves practical problems. Until those batteries can be recharged as fast as you fill up at the gas station (and I'm sure they won't be for many many years), it's going to be massively unusable... and that's what the Nio solves brilliantly...
Next from Never base your predictions on analysts' predictions 👇
I'm a little amused by HSBC's prediction on $NVDA-2.2% stock right now. They raised their price target to $780 per share, the previous target was about $100 lower. The funny thing is that earlier in the year there was one company here that was loud and clear on Nvidia saying Sell (target was maybe $135 or $136). Do...

Berkshire buys stock in homebuilders 🚨
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway disclosed new positions in three U.S. homebuilders on Monday, sending the companies' shares higher as the billionaire bets on the U.S. housing market.
Interesting, that would mean that new construction in the US would start to go up
Slowly but surely, Nio is starting to establish itself in Europe. To date, NIO Germany has launched its seventh PowerSwap station located in Ulm Seligweiler. To date, NIO has launched 24 PowerSwap stations and 9 PowerCharger stations in Europe.
It's taking off quickly and I'm excited and interested to see how they do next and what they come up with.
To follow up on my post yesterday - AI and Disney $DIS+0.9% results.
According to the results released for the second quarter of fiscal year 2023, The Walt Disney Company posted a 4% year-over-year increase in revenue to $22.3 billion (narrowly missing estimates). Net income per share excluding extraordinary items was $1.03, down 6% from $1.09 last year.
The results are fine for me, nothing great but it wasn't a disaster either. Otherwise, I own shares of $DIS+0.9% and believe the stock will rise.
AI sees it clearly with Disney's $DIS+0.9% results, saying it has as much as a 77% chance of beating EPS estimates, while giving "only" a 37% chance of beating on revenue.
That's how the analysts see it 👇
The consensus revenue figure is set at $22.44 billion, suggesting a 4.34% growth from the previous quarter. For EPS, they are counting on $0.99.
...Jj as you Paul's first comment, I too would be more inclined to drop the price since I've read about the decline in their users. I have $DIS+0.9% liked and invested, with the eventual drop I will be buying further. However, the AI rating looks interesting and it would be nice if it worked out, I might think about doing something speculative on it tonight before the close. 🤔 ...I wonder what the camps are, how many people are expecting what.
This is literally a BIG MOVE for Apple $AAPL+0.1%! 👇
Apple will save billions of dollars in chip manufacturing costs for new iPhones in 2023. This is due to the move to a more advanced 4nm manufacturing process. Apple buys tens of billions of dollars worth of chips each year for its products, especially iPhones. Currently, the chips are manufactured using a 5nm process, but TSMC...

That's great information and thank you for it. Otherwise, as has been written here $AAPL+0.1% is slowly declining and if it continues to decline I might buy a little more.
What do you think of Berkshire $BRK-B'+0.7%s quarterly results? 🤔
Berkshire Hathaway reported second-quarter earnings per share (EPS) of $3.75, missing analysts' estimates of $3.76. Revenue for the quarter was $82.12 billion, compared to the consensus estimate of $82.14 billion.
The results are great and I don't have $BRK-B+0.7% stock in my portfolio, but I'm thinking about buying a little something.
How do you see it in the next week? Whose results will you be interested in? For me, the obvious ones are $PLTR-0.7%, $DIS+0.9%, $PARA+1.2%, $LLY-3.5% and $BABA+2.2%.
I didn't make it in time... :)
