Berkshire buys stock in homebuilders 🚨
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway disclosed new positions in three U.S. homebuilders on Monday, sending the companies' shares higher as the billionaire bets on the U.S. housing market.

BRK-BShares of D.R. Horton $DHI-0.2%, Lennar $LEN-0.1% and NVR $NVR-1.0% rose Monday after Berkshire disclosed new positions in its latest 13F filing with the SEC. Shares of D.R. Horton and Lennar rose more than 2%. Shares of NVR rose more than 1% after the report.
Berkshire's largest new position is in D.R. Horton, where as of June 30 it owned about 5.97 million shares of D.R. Horton stock worth $726.4 million and about 153,000 shares of Lennar stock worth $17.2 million, and 11,112 shares of NVR stock worth $70.6 million.

Interesting, that would mean that new construction in the US would start to go up
Interesting sector, I would like to know the investment thesis or some data here. I was under the impression that new real estate wasn't going to go up much in the near future (not just in CR)
I was quite surprised by the reduction in the GM position. Un buying builders I'm not sure if he was buying directly from Warren or his right hand man.
