Does anyone own shares of $SONY? They are putting 300 billion yen on R&D this year and they also increased their operating profit last year.

Sony is exactly the kind of company where you see its qualities, but it belongs in the "nice to have but don't have to have them all" group.

For Sony, my biggest rival right now is $MSFT, which is expanding its footprint in the video game industry. I've never honestly considered Sony.

I like Sony a lot, but I only own a small amount, but I plan to diversify in the future.
