Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway $BRK-B+1.3%) sold 70% of his investment in Activision Blizzard $ATVI+0.1% in the second quarter, and appears to have lost some of the gains as a federal judge said Microsoft can complete its $68.7 billion acquisition of the video game maker.
Maybe they have some more information we don't know about. Personally, I'd like to see $MSFT+1.5% make the acquisition.
Microsoft $MSFT+1.5% has signed an agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following Activision Blizzard's acquisition of $ATVI+0.1%. The agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation could further ease concerns about the impact of the acquisition on competition.
But will it be enough or will they find something else? 🙄
Since I own $MSFT+1.5% stock I like the acquisition, I like how Microsoft is developing the video game market, their cloud gaming is something great. I feel a little bit like Microsoft messed up with their Xbox, Sony is definitely better at consoles, that's why Microsoft is trying to attract people with cloud gaming where you really only need fast internet and a newer TV. I'm currently holding and don't plan on selling.

So it's official, the largest video game acquisition of $ATVI+0.1% by tech giant $MSFT+1.5% has been given the green light by EU regulators. I believe Microsoft will appeal the rejection by UK regulators. Already this "war" with the authorities seems to be coming to an end. What do you think of this deal?
These are such huge events for me that we will only be able to assess their consequences many years from now... so from my point of view they will not have any major impact on the price, which is here and now... and if they do, I wouldn't say positive for these two companies :) see. Blizzard and their HR cases with employees...

We'll see how it goes, but I didn't expect it to drag on this long.
Blizzard can't get any worse... I'm just not sure if Microsoft will save it... :)

It's been dragging on for a really long time and it's great that it's getting finished. I don't own shares of either company, but if $MSFT's+1.5% share price gets below $300, I'd probably buy already.
