People in the U.S. are starting to use streaming platforms more and more on TV and less and less on radio and cable. Time spent using streaming platforms on TVs is growing and currently accounts for 38.7% of total TV usage.
What two companies would you recommend to a novice investor at this time? Obviously $GOOGL$AAPL etc is great, but those are at a great price right now. I say maybe $O might be a nice buy right now, or even $DIS.
I would probably recommend $AAPL and $CVS. However, I don't think you can say it like this. Everyone likes something different and every investor should do their own analysis and calculate the intrinsic value of the stock. So if someone wanted to invest in stocks, I would start with bluechips stocks.
Technology stocks are up tens of % this year, some by more than 100%. For example, $META stock is up 140% for the year and $NVDA stock is up 180%. I'm increasingly regretting not buying tech stocks sooner and buying more of them. However, I still bought some tech stocks. I was buying $AAPL stock at $133 and then I was still buying $GOOGL stock at $98.

Bulios Flash News: Google beat market expectations and reported earnings per share of $1.44 for the quarter, compared to expectations of $1.32. Revenues came in at $74.6 billion, also topping estimates of $72.8 billion.
So investors, whose results will you be interested in this week? I think there's something for everyone 😄 For me, I think every day will be interesting, but I'm mostly focused on 3M $MMM, Google $GOOGL and $UNP.

I have shares of $GOOGL in my portfolio and would like to buy shares of $MSFT below. I agree with Peter and Luke, I also have more faith in Google and Microsoft.
Chatbot Bard by $GOOGL is now available in Europe. Finally. I have to say, though, that I've gotten so used to ChatGPT in the meantime that unless Bard offers better features, I have no reason to switch. However, I very much feel the absence of actual data with ChatGPT (the non-paid version). But that should change for the unpaid version in the near future.
I picked up$MSFT pretty well at $235 and I'm still holding. I believe they will improve results with the help of AI, the inclusion of AI in Office and Windows will attract new customers. I didn't buy $GOOGL and I'm glad I have money in $MSFT, I like that one better.
