I don't own stock in either Intel or AMD, but if I had to pick one I'd pick amd
I see that $INTCstock is down about 14% this year. Intel is an interesting and great company, but I already have other stocks in my portfolio from this sector and INTC stock is quite expensive. If the stock gets below $30, I might think about buying it.
At what price are you buying $INTCstock ?

I somehow can't stop rolling my eyes that it's still going up and I wonder if it will still continue after this week;)
Super Micro Computer $SMCI ⚙️🖥️
The San Jose-based company, which focuses on database equipment such as servers, routers or switches and complete IT solutions, may benefit from relaxed monetary policy in 2024 🤯
Being in the IT field myself, I can say that $SMCI 's equipment is used a lot. The servers contain the latest processor from $INTC called Xeon! I started following the...

Yeah the drop to $INTC was decent, but I certainly wouldn't buy at the current price and would rather see a price to buy somewhere between $26-30.

I think it has almost no chance against these companies. But Intel is a great and quality company.
Nvidia is strengthening its dominance in the chip markets.
Today I read a new report that Nvidia $NVDA and AMD $AMD are working on Arm-based PC chips. These Arm-based chips, also used for smartphones, often consume significantly less power, which is critical for battery-powered devices.

I really like Intel and Gelsinger's vision, so I believe this will move Intel a little closer to achieving their goal.
Shares of $INTC are up over 30% this year, which is very solid. The company hasn't done well over the past five years, as you can see from the chart. However, I see the company starting to turn around and I believe it will start to do well again. The stock currently strikes me as a bit overvalued, but if the stock gets to a price of $32 or lower, I would already be thinking...

I really like the way Intel is changing and will have to take a closer look at this company :)
I'm quite curious how they'll manage to pull off that TSM lead. I've been reading some analysis on the new machines from ASML and it looks like they're more expensive to produce than the ones TSM is currently using and they can't manage to produce everything they have planned for 2030. Even if Intel delivers what they've been promising for a few years now, it's quite possible they'll make less profit on it than TSM. Factoring in the cost of human labor in Taiwan, they're not going to have an easy time getting to their original margins.
I've sold Intel and Micron and only hold TSM with ASML in semis anymore.
