Guys, what was the worst investment you've made in your investing career? I mean, the biggest realized or paper loss. I'll go out on a limb and say that mine was an investment in $META which I sold at about -50% (but luckily I got out fairly early at the time and transferred the money to a company that made even more) :D So, what's gone wrong on your investment journey? :)

Hello to all investors. Hydrogen is getting a lot of attention right now, and with good reason. It has huge potential in the world of future sustainable energy and technology. Companies such as Toyota $TM, Air Liquide $APD and Linde $LIN are playingthe hydrogen investment and infrastructure card. Clearly, they see a real opportunity here. What do you think about the future of...

I don't follow it much, but from what I read here, I should probably start. I mean, I'll definitely find out some information about it.
$PYPL is a stock that I have been following for a very long time, but I still haven't decided to buy, even though it seems like a good investment in the current situation. Moreover, it is retracking its lows again. We haven't had a discussion about this company here for a long time, how do you see it? Is it a buy at the moment?

I don't have that much experience with this service, but I was under the impression that their direct competitor is not V, MA or AAPL where you need a bank account to make payments. SQ and PYPL allow you to make payments without a credit card and account.
I wonder how diversified you are monetarily? My example: I hold roughly 25% in CZK, 45% in EUR and 30% in USD. Do you address currency diversification in any way, or do you keep everything in one currency and not address it?

Not counting cryptos, I have the vast majority of my positions in USD (which is my main portfolio currency), then I have a few stocks around the world, rather very selectively.
Hi, how many of you here are interested in trading, how many of you rely on long term investing etc.? I'm very interested in this. Let me know :)

I'm definitely a long-term investor and may do some medium-term trades in the future, but that's about it.
How do you see the airlines and the entire airline industry at the current price point? Do you think it has something to offer for the future and are you investing? I'm looking at the carved out $BA $SAVE $RYAAY.... stocks from this sector and it makes me wonder if I should dive in more, analyze and maybe buy some of the titles.

If there is something in between, that something goes up and something goes down, then we are something in between, but that's how it always is :D

Given the tech stock prices, I've started looking more at dividend titles and "sure" stocks at fine prices to buy into, but what still seems like a pretty decent price to me is the $BTCUSD price, how do you see it, do you buy bitcoin in the current situation, or do you not trust this technology and keep your hands off? Thanks for your perspectives.

I am currently building a portfolio with stocks and ETFs, but I definitely plan to own part or all of the cryptocurrency in the future. If I had to make a decision now, I would buy some BTC and I'm still fine with the 25-30k.
Folks, are you investing in the SNP, or is it better for you to invest in $BRK-A? I was looking to diversify my ETF portfolio by investing in Berkshire of all places, but I already find the company's stock quite expensive, but here it's just the quality I wouldn't mind paying a higher price for. How do you see it, are you investing or is it worth buying Berkshire stock in the...

Cannabis, how do you view this sector? Do you own any stocks in this particular sector? I have a lot of faith in this market for the future and I am starting to look into adding something from this sector to my portfolio. Your tips and insights?

I haven't even thought about this sector and I have no idea what stocks or etfs I should invest in. But it is an interesting sector.
We've covered this event here before, but actually to this day I still don't understand why $MNST has managed to be historically more powerful than our biggest $AAPL, is there anyone here who knows a little more about the Monster beverage story and can explain to me why its performance was better than Apple? Thanks gang.
Guys, what about you and $BABA? Are you holding, are you shopping at these prices? We haven't talked about it here on Bulios in a while. Yes, it's China, which even for me is a pretty big hurdle, for some it's enough of a risk that they avoid that market altogether. Valuation-wise it might not be a bad buy though, what are your views?

Well I'm curious about the piecemeal subscription, it doesn't make much sense to me why it would open up any value for shareholders. If the government is uncomfortable with the market position it has, it probably allowed them to do it in the hope of diluting their influence. The US will also throw sticks under their feet in the form of tariffs or restrictions on access to the latest chips. I have a position there, and not a small one, so I'm waiting to see if they go back to their previous growth and original valuation. Anyway, China is a very complex market and a great school.
Does anyone know how the "ChatGPT trading bot" is doing? I haven't heard news from this section in a while. Alternatively, are there any improvements or AI that is already outperforming it? It kind of brings me to the question as well, would you put your trust in such a bot or do you want to work with your money exclusively yourself? Maybe in a few years when this technology...

I wouldn't trust a bot with money, but he might take some advice. Otherwise, I definitely plan to use AI for investing, I think that in some time AI will be able to process various analyses etc. which will be very useful and save a lot of time.
The problem of "micro" investing
Hello investors here, what is your view on this topic?
Let's take an average Czech citizen who would like to invest, but his capital is not big and he wants to put aside 1000-2000 per month in his investments. He sends it to the SNP ETF and doesn't worry about anything, let's assume that the index manages to appreciate quite nicely and return 8%...

But here's the big problem - this view of investing is very limited. We all have rising incomes over the course of our lives, and unless one is an idiot who lets everything go, one's income will increase by that inflation in the long run. This means that he is able to put away a little more each year than the year before - which he should be doing. If he sets it up that way, then the result is different.
The same is then true of volatility. These charts and calculators don't take it into account at all - it takes 8% per year of that particular portion increasing all the time. But the reality is that stocks, of all things, will write off 15% one year only to add 30% the next. It's just that those regular purchases are then volatile through that as well and can often change that return significantly.
As for trying to increase your income - yes, it's certainly a great idea. However, the main problem here is that not everyone can do it. These charts and calculators are meant to try to convince and educate the average Popeye who will simply never be rich - that instead of saving into a retirement cushion (which was quite OK in the gold standard era), he should invest. I know intimately the reality of CR bank branches myself, and in terms of investment, people's lack of confidence and - and this is the stumbling block - their incomes and budgets - it's simply a tragedy. Even the 1,000 a month for investment is a luxury for a retail mass market. It's all the more unfortunate that bank investment advice is able to rush even 20-somethings into funds where 90% of the conservative majority are government bonds...
Since I started investing recently, luckily nothing like this has happened to me yet :). I'm trying to invest really long term and don't want to sell too much. However, I'm sure those losses and bad investments are still to come.
