🍝 Darden Restaurants (DRI): stable growth in a volatile sector? Evercore says yes.
📈 Why does Evercore have confidence?
Long-term stability and brand Olive Garden (45% of sales) and LongHorn (25%) are strong brands with a loyal customer base. This allows us to predict sustainable growth without dramatic fluctuations.
Shares of $AMD have been rising solidly lately, and were up over 6% yesterday. The company's chips are getting better, already outperforming $NVDA in some respects , and major growth is yet to come. I've been buying below $100 myself and am curious to see where the price will go by the end of the year.
Tesla launched its robotaxi in Austin on Sunday and already the first problems are appearing. According to available videos, the car reportedly drove into the wrong lane and exceeded the speed limit. I'm happy for Tesla and hold the stock in my portfolio, but this is likely to be a much discussed topic and the stock may be volatile in the near term.
🎮 Microsoft and AMD join forces! Microsoft $MSFT last week announced a strategic partnership with AMD $AMD to shape the future of the Xbox platform across home consoles and cloud services. The goal is to develop next-generation custom chips that will take gaming to a whole new level.
Are you buying shares of energy companies or will it be a short-term shot and then a pullback? The situation with the Strait of Hormuz is quite interesting - up to 20% of all production is transported there, which is quite wow. Closures or sabotage can clearly sway oil prices, however many are calling such moves suicidal for Iran's economy.
I don't have steel mills in my portfolio, but I would need to know the competition and would be interested to know which company is the biggest/best in this sector.

It's not great, but $CAVA is an interesting business too and the performance is great.

It doesn't look bad, but it would take a lower price to get in. What's the reason for the increase?

It's a fine sector, but I've never been interested in the video game field.
